The Aragorn Surfboards/Kneeboards shaping bay pumped boards out of Kirra from 1974 to 1977. Steve (Zorro) Goddard and Bruce Greig created a popular business attracting top shapers such as Michael Peterson, Tommy Peterson, Al Knight (for one day - 1/3/78) and Wayne Dean.

The local crew ripped on Aragorn boards during the mid 70s, cumulating in Michael Peterson riding an Aragorn to victory in the legendary Stubbies inaugural man-on-man competition in 1977.  

The iconic Aragorn brand was quietlyresurrected in Kirra in 2010 and a couple of singles and twinnies have been let loose on the waves once again.
