ARAGORN SURFBOARDS
The famous Aragorn Surfboards/Kneeboards operated out of Kirra in 1974-1977.
Owned by Steve (Zorro) Goddard and Bruce Greig, Aragorn attracted
top shapers such as Michael Peterson, Tommy Peterson, L. Knight
(1/3/78 - for 1 day) and Wayne Dean.
MP won the inaugural
Stubbies man on man competition in 1977 on his Aragorn and the local crew ripped on Aragorn's for this short time through
the mid 70's until the company came to a close in 1977.
Now
the iconic Aragorn brand has been resurrected and the singles and twinnies from the era are being let loose on the waves once
again.
Born again in Kirra on the Gold Coast and sold
through Underground in Coolangatta, Aragorn I and II hit the racks in 2010 with many more to follow.
